Colors will vary from our inspiration picture. The materials fee will be $5. Open to adults and teens The Plainville Public Library and An Unlikely Story Bookstore present this unique opportunity for families. Program features reading of picture books and family discussion led by our storyteller. A healthy snack and small arts and craft project will be presented each day. At the end of the program your family will take home 6 free books.
Register your family for our 4 part series featuring professional storyteller Diane Edgecomb. Geared for families with children ages 6-10. Please register only if you can make the commitment to attend all 4 sessions on Saturdays, April 1, 8, 22 and 29. 10:30am - 12pm. Space is limited. All programs held on the third floor of An Unlikely Story located at 111 South St., Plainville, MA. Parking is available at lot across the intersection. The Plainville Library and Bookstore FAIR Together grant is supported by Mass Humanities, whose grants inspire considered thought, conversation, and action through the humanities. Our awesome Reading Therapy dog in having a Birthday! Join us and you can read Neptune a special Birthday Book. Human treats will be available. On a special day! Plan your school vacation fun around the Library's Dinosaur Week!
Tuesday 10-4pm: Make a Dino-Rama. Wednesday @ 3pm: Animal Adventures brings live dinosaur decendants (alligator, monitor lizards and more) and @6pm Books for Bingo. Thursday: Movies at 10:30 and noon. Friday 1-5pm Drop in Make dinosaur bones and eggs. Join Miss Laura for family fun geared for kids in grades k-2 with super great phonics activities and games. Psst: They won't even know they are learning! Wedneday 2/15 at 6:30pm in the children's room
Ages 5 and up are welcome to come play with the thousands of library Legos. We will put your creation on display. Saturday, February 11 from 10am - Noon and again on Monday February 13 from 6-7:30pm
All ages can benefit from reading to dogs. Neptune is our gentle giant who will hang on your every word and not criticize one bit, growing your young readers' confidence. Come meet him from 4-5pm in the children's room.
The whole family is welcome to come play 6 holes of mini golf strategically placed around the library. This year we invite you play through the worlds of Star Wars: Naboo, Tatooine, Bespin, Endor, Hoth and the Trash Compactor on the Death Star. Available during regular library hours January 19 - 30.
