I see so many cute ideas on Pinterest that I just have to try. So here is a new club dedicated to those of us who want to try be crafty and creative - with out a Pinterest Fail moment. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, November 16 at 7pm to make painted stemless wine glasses. Join the Club by registering online. There will be a materials fee of $3 per glass, still less expensive than buying them outright! So tell us how many you would like to make to show off at your Thankgiving table. Everyone wants to go to Plimouth in November to tie into the season. So book your pass now so you won't be disappointed. Each pass admits 2 adults and 2 children for reduced admission of $12 per adult and $8 per child. Includes 3 locations: Plantation, Mayflower II and Grist Mill. The Friends of the Plainville Public Library would like to bring back the Holiday Basket Silent Auction Fundraiser. We are looking for individuals or businesses who would be willing to put together a themed basket to donate to the Silent Auction by Friday, December 2. Great ideas in the past have included Italian Night, Family Games, Death by Chocolate, and At Home Spa. All great gifts to give this holiday season. But you can be as creative as you want to be!
The auction will take place from December 3 – 17 with high bidders being notified after 2pm on December 17. Please register your idea for a basket at the desk at the Plainville Public Library and bring your basket in by December 2. All ages can benefit from reading to dogs. Neptune is our gentle giant who will hang on your every word and not criticize one bit, growing your young readers' confidence. Come meet him from 4-5pm in the children's room.
