Rhyme Time is a drop-in program intended for infants and toddlers. Every Tuesday at 10:00 am we will share stories, finger plays, music and movement activities, and more!
Children are welcome to engage with the program as much as they feel comfortable. Our intention is to introduce early literacy skills in a low-key environment, followed by social play time (for both children and caregivers!). |
In this new monthly series for ages 2-5, we're saying YES to MESS! We'll feature a different hands-on craft each month that uses paint, glitter, etc. So wear clothes that can handle a little splatter, and get ready to play!
Registration is required. Please visit our ONLINE CALENDAR to register. |
Calling all caregivers with new lil' babies in their lives! On the first Wednesday of every month, we'll be offering an unstructured social play group for grown-ups and their littles (ages 0-2).
Donuts will be provided and toys will be spread out on the storytime rug. So bring your munchkin, eat some munchkins, and make new connections! Siblings are welcome, too! |

PAGE TURNERS WILL RESUME ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH.
Page Turners Book Club takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 4:00-4:30 pm. We'll choose from the Transitional Chapter Book aisle in the library (the green dot books). These books are generally rated at a 2nd grade reading level, so this book club is best suited for Grades 1-3 or others who read comfortably at this level. For the first meeting of the fall season (taking place on November 6th), we'll be picking our December book and enjoying a craft or game. No registration required. |
Pre-readers and experienced readers alike are invited to join Lori and her dog Mocha in the Children's Department for our "Read to a Dog" program! Reading to a furry friend not only helps kids practice their literacy skills, but it builds reading confidence and reduces stress.
This program occurs on the last Wednesday of every month from 4:30-5:00. No registration required! |
This arts & crafts series will take place one per month in the Children's Department. Most crafts are suitable for ages 5+ unless otherwise noted. Please check our ONLINE CALENDAR for specific dates.
|
Gather with friends and free-build with the Library's Lego collection, and we will display your creations at the Main Desk! Lego Club meets the second Friday and Saturday of each month, unless otherwise noted on our ONLINE CALENDAR. This program is intended for ages 5+.
|
Whether you're new to gaming or a seasoned pro, we encourage you to attend our monthly Dungeons & Dragons Club! This fantasy tabletop role-playing game is for grades 3-8 and all materials are provided; just bring your imagination. This club meets on the third Thursday of every month; no registration required.

Interested in homeschooling? Or do you already homeschool your children but have questions, and would like to meet other homeschooling families in the area? Join us in the Children's Department on the first Thursday of every month! Roberta Van Vlack from AHEM will be leading most meetings and sharing her expertise.
Children are welcome to attend with their caregivers and play in the Children's Department during the program. |
