Would you like to see your artwork here on this delivery box at the Library?
The Friends of the Plainville Public Library. Inc. are looking for local artists to submit a full color original piece of visual or digital art. The artwork will be used to wrap the delivery box at the entrance to the library. The artwork should include bright colors, be family friendly and have a reading theme. The delivery box will be wrapped with the artwork and professionally reproduced on waterproof vinyl and enlarged to accommodate the size of the delivery box. |
Summer Book Sales
The Friends of the Plainville Public Library, Inc are having Genre Book Sales in the conference room during regular library hours. Books are 50 cents to $1 each unless otherwise marked. There will be a bag sale on the last Friday of each sale for that genre only in the conference room. We give you the bag - you fill it for just $5.00

THE FRIENDS OF THE
PLAINVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY, INC.
The Friends of the Plainville Public Library, Inc. offer books and puzzles for sale year-round at the entrance to the library and in the Friends Hallway. Books are sorted into categories for easy browsing! Funds from the book sales go directly to the Friends of the Plainville Public Library to help support the library with programs, materials and passes.
Donating Materials for the Book and Puzzle Sales
We accept donations of books, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs year-round. Please bring them to the library during regular hours. We do not accept magazines, Reader's Digest, encyclopedias, old text, travel or computer books, VHS, or cassettes.
BECOME A MEMBER OF THE FRIENDS
The Friends membership drive is ongoing. For a small donation: Students/seniors - $5, Individuals - $10, Family - $15, Businesses - $25, Patron - $50, you can help support the Friends purchases of museum passes, magazine subscriptions and programs for adults and children. There is now an option for a lifetime (non-transferable) membership for $200. You may print out this membership form [pdf] and mail it with a check payable to the Friends of the Plainville Public Library, Inc., 198 South St., Plainville, MA 02762-1512.
You can help by becoming a member or by coming to our meetings on the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM from September through June. For more information call the library at 508-695-1784.
