First Saturday Family Fun, Saturday, January 4 - 4 rounds of trivia start at 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm. You have 45 minutes to try to complete the trivia challenge and turn it in to Miss Laura. At the end of each round a winner is picked (yes, you get a prize!)
We are open on Tuesday December 31 from 10:00am - 2:00pm to pick up those last minute movie marathons for New Year's Eve. We are closed Wednesday January 1.
![]() Our next project on Wednesday, January 8 at 7pm. We will be making watercolor inspirational quotes to start your new year off on a good note. Choose one of ours or bring your own. Everyone can make up to 4 quotes and you will receive 1 frame. The Materials cost for this will be $4 and will be collected that evening. Please register on our calendar by January 3 to make sure we have the materials for you. If you cannot make it after you register please email Melissa at info@plainvillepubliclibrary.org December 23 at 6pm. All are welcome to come to meet in a casual atmosphere to discuss and share thoughts, issues and solutions with other area homeschool families. Please feel free to come to all or any meetings you would like. I would also welcome emails with things to discuss for the meetings. We will be closed, Tuesday and Wednesday December 24 & 25. We close at 2pm on Tuesday, December 31 and we are closed on Wednesday, January 1 Saturday, December 14: 10:00am - Noon and Monday December 16: 6:00 - 7:30pm. Ages 5 and up are welcome to come and build with the thousands of Library Legos. We will display your creations at the library. Meet new friends who love Legos, too.
![]() Sometimes you have to toot your own horn. And ours is a Fire Truck Siren this time. When a local resident came in to ask if we had books for them to study for the fire department's lieutenant's exam - we found them at other libraries across the country and got them sent here. They studied hard! They passed! And they came by to tell us "Thank you". So like a proud Mama - we are telling everyone. Anyone else got a test to study for? ![]() TONIGHT, Wednesday, December 11 - Take a break from holiday stress. Drop in the library and learn a kid friendly card games. We will use standard, regular cards - no special decks required - and no notepad needed to keep score. We will play games like: Old Maid, Snap, Crazy Eights, Slapjack, and Garbage, to name a few. This is a great way to learn new games and ways to keep kids busy and entertained and the only thing you need is a standard deck of cards! ![]() It's cold and you want to know why?
