Get immediate access to our digital collections through an eCard. With an eCard, your library is always open. Access hundreds of free online resources 24/7 including e-books, e-magazines, downloadable videos, music and audiobooks, databases, and more. Online cards will not expire for 8 weeks so you have plenty of time to check out what is available for you! Open Monday 3/16 until 4:30pm - holds will be available for pick up until 8pm in the foyer.
Closed to the public until further notice by Board of Health. Staff will be answering phones to try to help you with online materials, renewing your library card, etc. We will be offering "takeout" if you call ahead or place holds to order what you want (even if it is 3 books by Mary Higgins Clark). When you call ahead to let us know you are picking up your items, we will leave them in a bag with your name outside the front door starting Tuesday March 17. Please pick up within a half hour of calling. Thank you for your understanding. If you have holds available for you and wish for a quick pickup - call ahead 508-695-1784 and give us your name and your estimated time of arrival and we will have your holds checked out to you and ready to go when you arrive. The Monster Squad is calling all monster enthusiasts! Friday, March 6 at 4pm. Join Leader Laura Lupin as we explore a different monster each month. Let’s learn about cryptids and creatures, share some stories, then have a fun activity to tie it all together. Registration is not required and all interested parties, ages 6-12, are welcome to join! This month is FAIRIES!
Tuesday, March 3 - All Plainville precincts will be voting at the Municipal Complex. Precinct 1 at the Public Safety Building, Precincts 2 & 3 at the Town Hall Please check your precinct in advance at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/voterregistrationsearch/myvoterregstatus.aspx Please note the increased traffic to the complex on March 3 and there are no Storytimes at the Library that day. The Boston Bruins and Massachusetts Libraries have team up to help collect over 13,000 new pairs of Pajamas for Massachusetts kids in need with Cradles to Crayons. Donate new kid's PJs in sizes for baby to teen at the Plainville Public Library all Feburary! Last day to donate is February 29th! You've got an extra day this year since it's leap year!
