Just a reminder that regular due dates do apply to anything checked out from the Plainville Public Library.
We are getting back to "normal" in the sense that our fines and fees are now active. Late fees will be charged for items returned late. We do not charge late fees for the time spent in quarantine but we do checkin your items 72 hours after the actual return date - as if they had come back on that actual date of return. Also, Computers are available for 30 minute use per day. Printing is available for 20 cents a page. Copier is available for 20 cents a page. You can send your document to print to our print via email to plainvillelibrary@print.epsonconnect.com or arrive at the library with your documents on a flash drive to print at the copier. Passport applications are only accepted by appointment. Please call for an appointment. Go to our Plainville Library online Calendar to register for any of these upcoming virtual programs.

Give us a call at 508-695-1784 to arrange for outdoor pick up of your holds or when call us and we can pull books from our shelves for you. You can ask for 3 good fiction for a fourth grader, books like Ruth Ware, or books for studying about hibernation for elementary age.
Walk-in hours are still available Monday - Thursday 10-12pm and 1-3pm, Wednesday night 4-7 and Friday 2-5pm. and it is still a "Grab & Go" mentality, one person per household prefered, and time limits on computer use. Thank you for understanding while we try to expand our service to you in this new and different time. Yes! We can still do our Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest to benefit the Food Pantry. Bring in your decorated pumpkin (fake pumpkins are OK!) by Wednesday October 14. Everyone will be able to vote for thier favorite pumpkin with a canned good from October 15 - 29. Pumpkins will be ready to go home for Halloween on Friday October 30. Winner will get a gift card to Dunkin.
