Check out the new Melissa's Book Shelf - books Melissa has been reading and what she thinks of them. Don't worry - no spoilers.
Many of you may already know that due to personal issues Miss Amy's last day at the Plainville Public Library will be March 24. We wish her the best for her future endeavors. And we want to let you know that Storytime on Mondays will continue as scheduled with Miss Melissa. All April vacation and Saturday programs will continue as scheduled. The Tween Reads book club will meet with Miss Keely. We will have to suspend Mother Goose on the Loose on Tuesdays and Thursdays in its current format but we will let you know when we can modify that program. We still encourage caregivers of 0-2 year olds to come enjoy open play at the library from 10-11am each Tuesday and Thursday. We are currently seeking a new children's librarian.
Neptune is a beautiful, calm dog who loves begin read to. He loves just hanging out and listening to you practice your reading out loud. Bring any book you are reading right now or pick one off the shelves at the library. Reading Therapy Dogs have been proven to help struggling readers become more confident in their abilities because Neptune doesn't judge. He just listens. Neptune will be here the first Wednesday of every month at 4pm. Come READ!
Melissa loves reading mysteries and historical fiction. She watches way too much hockey. And would like to have more time for crafting cool stuff.
