Drum roll please.... E. Mogee.
Thank you for all your votes! E. Mogee can't wait to go bouncing all around Plainville and get his picture taken for our Annual Scavenger Hunt. The Scavenger Hunt begins on June 27. Hello! My name is Chris Masiello, and I am thrilled to join the Plainville Library as the children’s librarian! I am a mom of two wonderful teenagers and belong to a sloppy Saint Bernard named Macky. I am a Massachusetts native and last summer, my family and I moved back to New England after living in Switzerland for several years. Prior to this, I was an elementary school librarian in Northern Virginia. I am a huge fan of audiobooks, Roald Dahl and Brigham’s chocolate chip ice-cream, and am excited to get to know the children and families of the Plainville Library!
Come try your hand at making a cool collage picture. All ages welcome on Saturday May 7, drop in between 11am and 1pm. Supplies provided.
Starting Monday, May 2, the Plainville Public Library will be accepting U.S. Passport Applications on behalf of the State Department. We have four staff members who have been trained by the Boston Passport Office to accept applications presented at the Plainville Public Library with all of the required documentation and fees. For application forms, information on required documentation, fees, and a wealth of other passport and international travel information, applicants should visit the only official website for passport information -- travel.state.gov. Passport applications must be presented for processing no later than one hour prior to closing and will be accepted Monday and Wednesday 10-7pm, Thursday and Saturdays 10-1pm and Tuesday 10-4pm.
Neptune is a beautiful, calm dog who loves being read to. He loves just hanging out and listening to you practice your reading out loud. Bring any book you are reading right now or pick one off the shelves at the library. Reading Therapy Dogs have been proven to help struggling readers become more confident in their abilities because Neptune doesn't judge. He just listens. Neptune will be here the first Wednesday of every month at 4pm. Come READ!
