Dear Children, Parents, Grandparents and Readers,
It is with a heavy heart I must inform you all that unfortunately, Chris informed me on Wednesday afternoon that she will be unable to continue as children's librarian due to a family emergency that requires all of her attention at home. She left the premises and such was her emergency she could not give me the traditional 2 weeks notice. I understand your disappointment, as we also feel that way. She was a lovely fit for our children’s room. We will proceed with the Summer Reading Program! Please understand that over the next 2 weeks you will be able to sign up for summer reading, take your picture at the Olympic Photo Booth, Guess how many Rings are in the jar, and attend our two kickoff events on June 27 and 29, and watch a movie on June 30 Weekly programs will continue after July 5 as we gather our thoughts around the sudden departure of Chris. Thank you for your understanding. Kids can come in and register for the summer reading program starting June 20. At registration each child will get a pennant to place in the library to record thier stickers for reading and a Season Ticket which holds the key to entering each week to be entered to win the grand prize in 1 of 3 age groups on August 17 at our Finish Line Party. Rewards and stickers will be handed out to our readers starting June 27 through our 8 week program.
