Miss Laura has fun, stories, songs and more for everyone this summer at the Plainville Library!

The one-man-in-a-suitcase Circus Minimus bring family fun to the Plainville Public Library on Wednesday June 28 at 6:30pm. This show has been performed over 500 times around the globe, for family theater audiences and school assemblies alike. From Kevin O’Keefe’s suitcase an entire circus emerges: tent, band, lights, the boisterous ringmaster Steve Fitzpatrick, the officious Mervin Merkle, the incredible Bumbilini Family, the Magician to the Stars Clyde Zerbini, and Keefer–an innocent trying to runaway and join the circus. However, the most important performers emerge from the audience.
Everyone can participate in our Summer of Kindness and Build a Better World this summer. For each act of kindness you perform this summer stop by the library and place a stone (provided) into our Kindness Jar.
If we fill the jar with our kindness this summer the Friends of the Library will purchase new instruments for our children’s room.
Are you a Budding Builder or an Asipring Architect? All ages can participate in Summer Reading - Adults & Teens too. Registration begins June 19 for our 8 week program (June 26 - August 18). Early Literacy activity sheets for 4 and under, Read and Bead for ages 5 and up, Adult and Teen Summer BINGO. ALL with Prizes to Win!

Melissa loves reading mysteries and historical fiction. She watches way too much hockey. And would like to have more time for crafting cool stuff.
