Read & Bead is back for our Globetrotters (ages 5-12)
Lil' Explorers (age 4 and under)
Adults & Teens (13+) Summer Plinko for Prizes
In Person: Play Plinko for a chance at a prize for Adults & Teens (age 13+). Check out items from the Plainville Public Library and you get one chance a day. Instant winners could win a free book or puzzle from the Friends of the Library regular priced book sale, a tote bag, or an item of your choice from our Treasure Cart of Prizes. Otherwise enter to win into our summer long drawing for gift cards from An Unlikely Story and Tasty’s, or a Kindle Fire 7. Lucky winners will be chosen August 18 as part of our end of the Summer Bubble and Ice Cream Party.
Culinary Passports
(GaramRegister on our online calendar to reserve a Culinary Passport for you and your family. We will have a limited number available each week. As we explore a new culture each week through food. Your Culinary Passport will include some exploration of the popular foods in each culture, a reading list to learn more about the culture, recipes and an ingredient so you can try these special recipes at home. Once you register, you must pick up your kit Monday - Thursday of that week or your kit will be given to the next person on our waiting list on Friday.

Reservations are required in advance. A fun and rewarding summer reading program developed to encourage young children to read during the summer months, Bookworm Wednesdays entitles kids to free movie admission to a select children's film when they present a book report at a participating Cinema de Lux, Showcase, or Multiplex Cinemas box office. Accompanying parents or guardians and children under six years of age receive free admission and do not need to submit a book report. |
