The Southeastern Libraries' Legislative Breakfast will be held at the Lakeville Public Library, 4 Precinct St, Lakeville, MA. If you can't be there - tell your state legislator why libraries are important to you and your family. Find your reps here.
Did you know that despite the fact that state library line items total only 0.07% of the state budget, since 2001, funding for the four line items supporting library Resource Sharing have been cut drastically and together are down 30%. Cuts in on the four line items create a ripple effect in the others and have a direct impact in cities and town, putting Resource Sharing at risk for all libraries. Your local libraries depend on State Aid funds to fund important programs and services. Tell your legislators why libraries are important to you. They want to hear from you. Comments are closed.
