This program is sponosored by the Plainville Cultural Council with funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council ![]() You can now shred your confidential documents at the library for free! The Plainville Public Library now has a locked container for collecting confidential documents. All you have to do is drop the documents you would like to be shredded into the secure containers, and we take care of the rest! Shredding process You place your documents in the locked container inside the library. The containers are collected from the library on a regularly scheduled basis by Mansfield Shredding Service, a National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) certified organization. A Mansfield Shredding Service employee takes the container to thier location in their secure trucks. Neither the library nor Mansfield Shredding Service ever sees the documents inside the secure containers. After the documents are shredded, the confetti-sized pieces are recycled at Hannah Paper Recycling in Mansfield. What items are suitable for shredding? This new service is designed for individual use. Not for business use.
