Everything can be a negotiation. What skills do you need to make it work for you?
I know my first pet was a fish. My son's first pet was a fish. Teaching them how to feed the fish was easy. Teaching them how to take care of the tank, that was hard.
How do you do laundry? separate whites and darks - what if you are by yourself? Everyone needs to learn this - EVERYONE!
Now I know professionals use scales, but I don't know many recipe books that call for that. Most are 1/4 cup this, 2/3 cup that. Here is why you have 2 different measuring cup sets.
and I quote: Mom: "you paid the copay with the check i gave you?" Kid: "yes, you gave me the check, and I gave it to them. But what do you mean I had to fill out the pay to the order line" And that is why the check didn't clear the bank and why I was still billed by the doctor's office, folks. So here is an important lesson. And to the receptionist at the doctor's office - Why didn't you check to see if the pay to the order was filled in before you put it through your electronic check payment thing?
So I asked my 23 year old what would he want to know. What would I include in a Life Skills class? - and he told me that he had to teach his roommate how to address an envelope to mail in his rent check. (and that will be the next lesson) Wow. So here it is. I know snail mail is old school but I didn't realize how old school. Maybe we all need pen pals like we had in middle school.
She is right - that is one thing I order out for breakfast because I have never been good at this. Now is the time to practice. Not that I wouldn't eat them even if they have the whispies. A little salt a little pepper - and my favorite from a New Orleans Bed & Breakfast - pulled pork instead of ham in eggs benedict.
Just cut my 26 year old's hair - and he's actually happy with it. The fade is the hardest part, but seriously don't rush. You can get it! Sharp clippers are key.
