Plainville’s first Little Free Library is at Telford Park at 142 South St, Plainville. Brian Berry, an Eagle Scout Candidate, made and installed the Little Free Library as part of his project. The Friends of the Plainville Public Library, Inc. have paid for the official Charter Membership, and will provide the initial books. Little Free Library is a nationwide movement featuring a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. We hope this Little Free Library will serve parents to get books to read to their children while at the park, and for any park visitors to exchange books of interest.
