Starting Thursday, April 4 at 10am, The Plainville Public Library is proud to be helping distribute seeds to our library card holders to they can grow healthy food this year in their own gardens. You will checkout your choice of vegetable seeds from tomatos and carrots to beans and lettuce, from the front desk at the Plainville Library with your library card, while supplies last. The Library received this donation of vegetable Burpee™ seed packets through the URI Cooperative Extension's Free Seed Program and is made possible annually through the generous donation of expired yet usable and unsold seed packets from Ocean State Job Lot stores throughout the Northeast. Enjoy produce you grow yourself this year and checkout our many gardening books to help you on your quest for great garden veggies.
