Give us a call at 508-695-1784 to arrange for outdoor pick up of your holds or when call us and we can pull books from our shelves for you. You can ask for 3 good fiction for a fourth grader, books like Ruth Ware, or books for studying about hibernation for elementary age.
Walk-in hours are still available Monday - Thursday 10-12pm and 1-3pm, Wednesday night 4-7 and Friday 2-5pm. and it is still a "Grab & Go" mentality, one person per household prefered, and time limits on computer use. Thank you for understanding while we try to expand our service to you in this new and different time. Yes! We can still do our Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest to benefit the Food Pantry. Bring in your decorated pumpkin (fake pumpkins are OK!) by Wednesday October 14. Everyone will be able to vote for thier favorite pumpkin with a canned good from October 15 - 29. Pumpkins will be ready to go home for Halloween on Friday October 30. Winner will get a gift card to Dunkin.
The grab and go mentality is perfect for our themed kits. Check out the clear plastic bags on top of the fiction section for books and realia about a topic. Perfect for elementary age kids.

This Digital Escape Room is suggested for All Ages. Younger participants are encouraged to complete this escape room with an adult. Complete on your own or with a group! We hope you have fun! The instructions may ask you to open a new tab in your web browser so that you do not lose your progress. You may need pencil and paper to take notes. This was made by a librarian in Campbell County. Monday - Thursday 10:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 3:00pm Wednesday Night 4:00 - 7:00pm Friday 2:00 - 5:00pm VULNERABLE POPULATION HOURS: Thursday 10:00am - 12:00pm The Plainville Public Library is reopening for limited hours on Monday July 13. The Library is committed to the safety of our customers and employees. We are following the Massachusetts state safety standards for cleaning and disinfecting the building and materials.
Limited Hours: Monday – Thursday 10:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm, Wednesday night 4:00-7:00pm and Friday 2:00-5:00pm. Vulnerable population (and those over 60) hours: Thursday 10:00am – 12:00pm. Contactless Takeout will still be available during these times for those who prefer to not enter the building. The Library asks for 1 person per family to find and checkout items in the building. Occupancy will be limited to maintain social distancing. Please follow the signs and floor markings. A hand washing station is available upon entry to the building, as well as sanitizer stations. Public computer use will be limited to 30 minutes per day to lessen your exposure. The library is offering printing and fax services for free through August 31. We encourage the use of remote printing via email and wifi to lessen the use of public computers. All items returned will be held for 72 hours before they are handled by staff and returned off your library card. The library is fine free through August 31. The library is also waiving all processing fees for lost items and providing free replacement library cards through August 31. We are excited to see everyone again and we hope you will be excited to come back to the library to pick books for yourself from our shelves. 1. Attach your document or pdf and email plainvillelibrary@print.epsonconnect.com 2. Open what you need to print on your phone/device. Standing by library's front door log in to the WIFI named DIRECT-51-HP. Click PRINT and send to our printer. Once you send your print job - call the library at 508-695-1784 to pick up. We will put in in an envelope and put it on the cart for pick up during Contactless takeout hours ONLY. Monday - Friday 10:00am - 2:00pm and Wednesday 4:00 - 7:00pm.
