Rebuilding the Library Gardens!

So we had a great garden around the Japanese Maple but unfortunately we had to let go of a lot of plantings to  make room for the new sidewalk.

But we want to REBUILD!
And we will happily take your perennial divisions from your garden to add to ours. This is how the original garden started with your coneflowers, iris, globe thistle, coreopsis, daylillies, phlox, liatris and more. So if you are thinning your plantings around your home - please drop off your labeled plants to the Library. Melissa will add them to the garden plan to once again create a garden worth a little extra time walking past.

Library Herb Garden - COMING SOON!
We now have an extra little triangle of land right next to the handicap parking. What better than to make a hardy herb garden. We are looking to purchase hardy herbs like lavender, sage, tarragon, greek oregano, lemon balm, rosemary, and winter savory. When the plantings are mature we will allow patrons to clip a little to take home. Melissa has been amending the soil with composted manure donated by Stargazer Hill Farms, peet moss, vermiculite and garden soil. And we hope to complete the wood walkways  in the coming weeks to ensure a walking path for access.
