You can reserve your pass up to 75 days in advance online by clicking here. You can help by renewing or placing a new order for Yankee Magazine with a postcard available from the library or do it on the web by clicking here. curious people, lifelong learners, readers writers, thinkers and browsers. We
are a non profit group who encourage community participation in planning and
funding of special events. We have several fundraisers a year, including
our Book Sale in October to fund our activities. We fund programs
for adults and children, donate equipment, and purchase magazine subscriptions
and museum passes. Thank you for your continued support. Through your generosity we were able to continue to fund many projects. Without your support the library would not be what it is today ... a wonderful asset to all Plainville residents!
How can you be a Library Lover? Contribute: - Consider a tax-deductible gift to your library. - Honor or remember a friend with our Honorarium Program. - Establish a book endowment. - Remember the library in your estate planning. - Give through your company’s matching gifts program. Get involved with the Friends: - Become a member. - Volunteer and attend the book sales. - Donate your used books, videos and cds for the sale. Volunteer: - Use your expertise to present a program of interest to the community. - Assist the library at special events. Use and Promote: - Visit often and tell your friends to do the same. - Attend local town meetings and encourage your elected officials to invest in the library. - Write to your state and federal legislators and demand that library service be viewed and funded as a necessary public service. - Speak up for libraries at community groups. |
