Museum Passes From the Friends

NEW PASS AVAILABLE: Hall at Patriot Place - Open Monday to Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 7 PM through June 14 with different summer hours. Each pass admits 2 people with a maximum of 2 passes per family for FREE. The Hall is a modern “museum” that takes guests through Patriots and New England football history in a cutting-edge way, utilizing amazing video and audio to tap into fans’ emotions in a manner never before seen in a sports museum. Oh, and you’ll put your finger in a Super Bowl XXXIX ring and get up close with the Patriots three Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophies while confetti rains down upon you.

Southwick’s Zoo Tickets Plainville Residents can book online or in person to purchase 4 discounted tickets at $7 each. Tickets must be booked for a particular day, but are good for any day in the 2012 season at the zoo. ONLY one booking per family, per season is allowed to allow the maximum number of persons to go to the zoo. New last year - Out of town residents can purchase Southwick Zoo tickets at $11 each for up to 4 tickets. A booking must be made for a particular day at the library or by phone with a librarian. All tickets must be paid for with cash. Regular admission to Southwick’s Zoo is $20 for adults and $15 for children (3-12) and Seniors (62+). Children under 3 are free.

    Special Books of Gift Giving Quality are available year round at our on-going book sale located by the front door of the Library. We have also EXPANDED our Sale Area in the Friends Hallway. Now both fiction & non-fiction book are displayed. Books are available on a first come basis.

     Hardcovers and Oversize paperbacks are $1 each

    Mass market paperbacks (the small ones) are 50 cents each

    All children's books are 50 cents each.

    Membership - The Friends annual membership drive is ongoing. For a small donation: Students/seniors - $5, Individuals - $10, Family - $15, Businesses - $25, Patron - $50, you can help support the Friends purchases of museum passes, magazine subscriptions and programs for adults and children. You may print out this membership form and mail it with a check payable to the Friends of the Plainville Library, Inc., 198 South St., Plainville, MA 02762-1512

    Your membership includes: The Friends' quarterly newsletter filled with library news and events, entrance to the Friday night Friends Only Book Sale plus one free paperback book and new members get a coupon good for our ongoing book sale.

    The Friends are library card-carrying, curious people, lifelong learners, readers writers, thinkers and browsers. We are a non profit group who encourage community participation in planning and funding of special events. We have several fundraisers a year, including our Book Sale in October to fund our activities. We fund programs for adults and children, donate equipment and purchase magazine subscriptions and museum passes.

    You can help by becoming a member or by coming to our meetings on the first Monday of the month at 7:00pm from September through June. For more information call the library at 508-695-1784.
